Who's ready for a storm?

Going to crank up the generator this weekend hopefully.
Make sure is runs. Went to test it 2 years ago and it wouldn't start.
Had it repaired and worked fine last for last years test.

For those with the Apex system, what's the point of having a battery back up like the Vortech if nothing else will work like the internet, EB8, etc.

All I care about is the flow and a bubbler if I need it.

Oh yeah, those with the Apex systems, make sure you save a copy of your programming!

I have the same Vortech Battery Back-up. I just bought a Y-splitter so it also runs my Apex.

Good idea. But where do you plug it into the Apex?

Oh man...good point, just did that! Thanks.

I agree. Im just interested in flow and a bubbler. Lights I would only worry about if I lose power for more than 4 days. The issue is that in my apt, that can actually happen. I didn't live here at the time but during Wilma they lost power for 1 week and during Andrew for 1.5. Apparently this area has a major problem with one of the transformers during storms. Its part of the reason I have surges every time it rains.

I have Uverse with a UPS backup. My internet will stay online for a few hours after I lose power. That's why I put backup power to my apex. If I lose power to the house when I'm not home my apex will send me an email and txt. My MP40's will continue to run on battery and keep everything alive.
