Why Do Clowns Eat Uncontrollably?

SkullV

They Got My Number
My pair of clowns will eat every single pellet I drop in the tank. No matter what, until their little stomachs bulge. My other fish seem to eat until they are full and stop. What is the reasoning behind clowns insatiable hunger? Is it just that they don't get food all the time in the wild so they eat what they can get?

My clowns are the same way. Maybe it's because they want as many nutrients as possible for egg development. The female seems to be more of a pig than the male.

Same thing here. Not exactly sure why. When my haddoni spawned, my female percula munched on the eggs for probably an hour straight. The next day she was huge! She didn't swim around as usual, and just laid on her side, in the anemone, like a fat man after Thanks Giving dinner. I was honestly worried. Thankfully she was fine the next day. She also laid a massive clutch of eggs not long after that.
