hi Daniel,
The fish will get up early with their biological clock, just like us. I have QT'ed all of my fish and half of them had to adjust to the new time.
As it was very important to keep the fish fed during the first couple of weeks of QT. I would leave my room lights on 24/7 but have the aquarium lights going on a timer and turns on and off at the same time as my display tank. It'll usually take up to a week for the fish to adjust. And for the first couple of weeks of introduction to the QT, I would wake up in the middle of the night and find the fish swimming around in the open. And I'll take this time to feed the fish, (As they'll be sleeping during my regular feeding hours) over a time of a week or so the fish will slowly adjust to the new lighting cycle.
I guess if you keep the lights off completely for a few days, it'll help resetting their clock but it might not help them with their feedings.
