Why I LUV Zoas...

I purchased these on Friday from a fellow RC member who lives in So. Cal... He mailed them to me USPS express on Tuesday. USPS didnt deliver the package till today around 1pm. The package was wrapped in a plastic bag and the mailman told me that it was leaking. Well, I opened the package and sure enough there was a little water barely covering the 1 pound rock. I did a freshwater dip and threw the rock in the tank...WA-LA...Heres the scenario:

They're looking great Joey! Wow they really flouresce in your with your actinics ,I don't run actinics so I've never seen them like that.

Phew, I'm so glad they made it ok even though the bag leaked. Did it seem like it leaked from my insufficient packing? Or did it just take a beating during shipping.

Thanks Andrew, I really didnt take into notice what caused the leak, I ripped through all 3 bags and began my FW dip. I did see that all bags were zip tied, so it might have been that. Thanks again...all that matters now is that beautiful outcome.

shibumi, thats not a silly question ...Ive read that it kills all the stuff from other reefers tanks that you dont want in yours. Also kills nudis who eat zoas...Ive been doing it ever since I started with Zoas...it seems to work. Check out this thread:

I've had zoos dry shipped (wrapped in a damp papertowl) before and they do ok, just seems to take them longer to open up the first time. Tough little critters ......

Probably to his awesome store I assume!!! He donated some zoas and I got them within 18 hours of shipment. Not a lot of water; not super cool. But he knew when I'd get them and he knew his zoas. They are the best zoas I've ever had. They opened up immediately and I was pretty shocked (by the way...they were perty too )! They were some of the ones I asked you guys to identify the other day. I'm a zoa fan big time!!!!
