Why no pods?

You won't see many during the day if you have fish. I only see pods during the day in my biocube that is fallow...i just keep it running as a QT tank.

At night with a flashlight look at your send bed, that's where I see mine mostly. I also don't see as many as lots of people seem to...maybe they are too small or something. I see that amphipods, but copepods...I dunno.

There are different types of copepods. Ones that live in the water column and those that live on the rocks. You are most likely to see the "land" dwelling type, usually on the glass at night. They tend to hide from light since it makes them easy prey. A lot of people like to put a pile of small rock frags in an out-of-sight place to provide a good breeding ground for the pods. If you can seed your fuge with some amphipods, a pinch of crushed flake every day or two should send them into a reproducing fever. Good luck!
