I have a black spiny urchin, which I feed seaweed selects every other day. I just came home to see him on top of the b/w hermit trying to eat him!!! I don't know if he could get to him because of his shell. I had to poke at him with a algae scraper and he did let go, but I am wondering if he has harrased tankmates in the past. I thought they were to be herbivores?

Maybe it was just eating the algae off it's shell!

affirmative. Urchins can't see what they're doing: they only feel and smell...and if it's algaed, and in the way, they'll climb on it. Your hermit will be annoyed, but unharmed.
