After removal of all fish due to ich, treating them by tank transfer method (all survived but one who cardinal who was killed by a rival) and 11 weeks of going fallow I put my fish back into the tank yesterday. I had been feeding the tank every other day to keep the bacteria up and will be monitoring my ammonia closely.

If feels great to finally be able to enjoy them.

thanks for the help and advice.

I have a lot of faith in ttm. I only tried it once but it seemed like so much work I figured I'd just go with copper. But Copper has turned out to be just as much work really with the daily testing. Of course I have also been going crazy trying to keep up with ammonia that I just learned was not present anyway. Wish I learned about the cupramine causing positive results for ammonia with api kits earlier.
