:lol2: ZeoVit Flatworm Stop.

IN TANK TREATMENT!

Right now we have an effective help against tissue eating flatworms on Acropora and for ailing SPS.

(Can it be for the infamous AEFW... Scientific name Amakusaplana acroporae???) I see they haven't mentioned the actual pest name on the bottle which makes me wonder if it's a liability thing if it does not work. Anyone try it before I buy a bottle??

They claim:
Flatworm Stop strengthens all kind of corals and reduces parasitical flatworms on Acropora corals at the same time. Very valuable ingredients are assimilated directly after dosage. In our tests also ailing small polyp stony corals recovered and rebuilt the basis as well as gained back the original coloration.

Dosage: 1 ml per 100 Liter tank water. Dose directly into the tank. For ailing corals dosage can be increased to double or triple.

I heard it doesn't outright kill them, but causes a slime/mucus which they cannot eat through... It must also cover the eggs and they cannot get out and die... Who shall be the guinnie pig this time? Lol

I've done some reading on this as well.. It does not seem to medicate the tank in targeting flatwroms, but only to strenghten the coral.. I guess if you add whatever is in the potion along with a very low nutrient system, it's possible that they could die off or possibly be kept at bay since they are know to be more prevalent in systems with higher nutrients...

These bostiches have to be the most invasive pest I have every come across in this hobby.. He or she who holds the answer will truly be exhaulted to the title of REEF Grand PUBA! LOL!

I've read it helps the SPS produce mucus or slime coating to protect them against AEFW, but many species of Acros, like the deepwaters, Hawkins etc.. don't produce a slime so don't dip those species. I also read and it worked for me is to check the iodine level. I was dosing iodine at the time for better pink coloration and because my level was alittle low. I had an outbreak of AEFW....apparently iodine helps in their reproduction cycle. I stopped dosing, dipped the effected corals and added a few more wrasses...haven't seen them since.

Really??? I was unaware of the iodine levels contributing to the reproduction of the AEFW's. Scary..
So you have not tried this product but instead have used Revive, Melaflex or Coral RX to dip. I use Coral RX with good results when it comes to dipping along with the turkey baster to get in between the cervices and cut off the bases most of the time.

Thanks for the input Mike.

Coral RX has never worked for adult AEFW for me, Revive gets the adults.
Now for Flatworm Stop I am a few weeks away from my 3 month mark.
I am already working on getting more. I have seen less flatworms and corals to seem to look better.

Hey MarineLife, thanks for the response and input buddy!
Please be sure to post your results here so some of us can make a better informed decision regarding this product.

Duke (James) had flatworms and used it now he doesn't he also blasted his corals daily and bought a few wrasses he said there gone ,I also seen his tank before and after and I'm very empressed .I am on my secound bottle but I never had flatworms I'm just paranoid and use it just incase ..oh and it smells like every other zeo product just like vinagar !!!!! Looks promising guys

No never just red bugs awhile back ,I just got paranoid hearing so many people got them I said f it I'm dosing just incase, flatworm stop suppossed to be a good additive to the tank in addition to killing flatworms I know includeing me 4 people using it 3 of us don't have flatworms but use it just incase , duke had them pretty bad a few months ago his tank looked like veal , he used a 3 month recommended dosage and overdosed ,his tank looks great now ,he dips random peices weekly to check for them and not one came, off time will tell if this really works but so far so good for him ,plus I don't think zeo would but a snake oil out they are well known for having great quality products that work so y take the chance of getting a bad rap but then again MONEY I guess lol

Oh also we contacted pohls on the zeovit forum and he said to use the flatworm stop in conjution with pohls k balance which is a Potasuim supplement ,Ive used it before the flatworm stop angways

The flat worm exit is supposed to be used with coral boost it works hand in hand in boosting the corals vitals so that way it can with stand aefw, it generates a stronger slime over the coral that the flat worms can not eat. You still have the eggs but they all die off since there is no food for the aefw to eat.

when I hear AEFW I cry....my new tank looks great and boy if I get them again I am not sure I can make it again

I would love update as well but I think Noel has not stayed with it
