I can't see anything but fantastic colors, what camera is that?

Sony a-99 A dream camera for me, an upgrade from my old a-350.

It is ok. Not a problem.

Once you post some more, not junk post either... you will be able to send PM's.

LOL... yeah it was.... And well worth it.

OK... I am working on designing a new sump. I have gone in with a company that does acrylic work.

Plans so far.....

These are updated from the other day.

OK.. Here are three pictures that are the same... Notice the color difference??

One is from September and the other two from October. (roughly a month difference) I have had major growth lately. Lighting is about the same for a while. Radion pros

I will post my parameters later when I get home. I was going through my pictures and noticed the same set, slightly different angle and noticed the color change day/night.

Thoughts or ideas?? Or is there actually anything wrong?

Maybe my atinic lighting is the true coloring that I should be basing it off of.

I think most vendors use 14K lighting for pics. Maybe even bluer. Those Zoas look healthy. Don't see a problem. Some nice coralline and sponge there too!

Thanks... but I need to nip that sponge out. I think it is stopping the growth some.

That is fine.. the year is almost over... Wait until next year's pictures.... Then you will see...

Good evening Worm,

nice built you have there.

I have a question concerning your regal blue tangs.
I would love to get a pair for my new built next year,
but people say they are very hectic swimmers, that
do often damage SPS. Can you confirm this? Or
would you recommend them for a mixed reef?

Keep up posting please and thanks for the webcam,
today I enjoyed watching your tank in uni;)

Greetings and best wishes
Mathias

My tang is a bit uncommon of a swimmer. It does slide right in between two rocks to 'sleep' and anything in that area gets pushed or beaten.

I have everything placed in spots it does not swim to/through.

It has not physically attacked/damaged anything, just pushing it over or moving it, just from it's sleeping spot.

Most people do not get a long enough tank for it and it never gets a chance to reach it's potential. Like keeping a cheetah in a 5x5 bedroom no rom to sprint and get good exercise.

What are you planing on keeping it in?

Hi Worm thanks for the info!

I'm gonna start my new built next year,
so far the working title is 180g main display.
But today I got the okay to use one room in our basement
and make it my personal reefing room:)
That could even allow me to fit in a 250-300g tank.
Would you consider this an appropriate size for keeping those
tangs ?

Greetings
Mathias

IMO 180 and up is perfect the larger the better. Make some straight line shots in it to where it can see them and ramp up at full speed to get some exercise.

I look forward to seeing your progress. Make a new thread here in Large Tank section and at least get ideas na opinions.
