Worm's 180 build

OK... so today we drilled the 120 with two 1.5 bulkheads for the overflow box. It is on the far right against the wall. Hard to see but it is there.

Purchased three 1 inch bulkheads for back wall to provide feed.

Worm, looking good man!! I always enjoy hoping I. Your thread and watching your videos and looking at your photos.

Can't wait to see the new resident in the tank!!

Corey

Hey thanks!!

I hope the ones I added exceed what you think was happening between the pictures I posted earlier.

I am really enjoying this build as much as the 180 one.

Nice!

What dehumidifier do you have? Are you happy with it?

Thanks. I have a Winix WDH851 50-Pint Dehumidifier with Pump

I am really happy with it. It uses the same type tubing for the rodi to pump the waste water away, so I just ran it to the sink.

Nice work you have done there sir. Cant wait to see the plumbing upgrade.

Me neither... HAHAHAHA, Thanks!

I have a video that is uploading. I'll post that once it is done.

So back to the installation of the 120:

Who put kiwi designs in the cuttings water? Wait... do you see that?? Interesting pattern after cutting some holes.

Playdough does its job.

Bad quality but just seeing how far off the holes were after adding water.

Current inventory:
4 OC Clowns (1 fem 3 males)
2 Cinnamon clowns (1 fem 1 male)
5 PJ Cardinals
1 Blue Hippo

Ritteri (18+ inches)
LTA (8 inches)
BTA (3 inches)
Red Haddoni (8 inches)

Close... but flip flop that.

OK.. on plumbing:

First two holes were drilled a few nights ago. On the far right side. These are 1 1/4 with a schedule 80 bulkhead.

These two will be for the return. As the wall is right there will have to get two 1 1/4 lines through and down at an angle to go into the sump, below the 180. I decided to do a herbie instead of a beananimal. Already have the overflow box, will silicon it once that far along.

Next drilled three holes on the back side, with the help of my 19yo. (I think we both made it off centered, but it is symmetrical left to right. These three holes are 1 inch schedule 80 bulkheads. These will be for the feed. A 1 1/4 feed will be split between the three outputs.

I am debating on putting a gated valve on the back side of each to limit, restrict the flow.

Ideas on the gates??

Got these in the mail today. Replacing the ones that are a bit slow. Once the new volume gets in it will need a bit more power to heat things up.

I hate to bring up the past but didn't you have a pair of Hippo tangs? what happened to the other one? I havent been keeping up lol. I'm getting back on track

There were two. Back during the summer, while I was on vacation, I had a tank sitter; well things do happen when people do not recognize things are happening.

The ritteri moved about 2 feet and one of the tangs disappeared. I think the tang got too close to one of the anemones. The ritteri must have just wanted a change. It has been in the same place (top right corner) since it moved, slightly higher and closer to the flow.

Thanks for getting back on track. LOL

Bugger?? They fit perfectly in a sump now. Nothing like trying to fit a long heater diagonally and keep it below the water sometimes.

Sometimes size does matter but in this instance compact works better.

I hate when that happens. I lost an ORA disco blenny like that. One of those all white with black fin blennies. He was startled by something and he swam right into the green carpet anemone I had, goner lol. Poor little guy. This is one reason why I haven't picked up another carpet anemone afterwards. But maybe I can try a small bubble tip anemone in the future. It would be nice having one with thier tentacles swaying in the flow. So far your build is coming along nicely. Its awesome to see how much volume of water your system is going to contain. Hopefully it will really contribute to the stability of the system. Great upgrade imho.

The inhabitant of the 120 is most likely going to be a Blue gig and some clowns to entertain it. Some polyps... That is it...

So almost a single inhabitant/species tank.

This is my LTA. It looked really cool tonight.

Had to post a video.

20140107_211441.jpg

I was feeding the tank and the haddoni closed up some.

Some of the polyps popped tonight and looked real good.

This little guy has double in size.

All in all things are moving forward nicely.

The only thing I have added lately was a 6 line wrasse. I was looking for a 5 line... but I guess I miss counted. They were sold out of 7 line ones.
