lol :d

Thanks... and to think.. it was not even with my macro lens... Maybe I will try that tomorrow.

I modified the camera PTZ settings.

It is viewing where the 120 is going and you can now see the new stand . I will have to relocate the camera when it gets completed. I can not move the post.

Take a look, pan, tilt, and zoom around the room.

Tank looks good. Glad all of the hair algae you had months ago looks totally gone.

Stand for 120 looks strong. Are you putting anything in the corner between the tanks?

what is the metal box under the 180?

That is the algae turff scrubber.

Havent you seen my video's on it yet?

I am trying to get things running for our meet at my place. I think that spot will be empty.

That bw looks just like a fireworm to me how can you tell the difference between them?
The coloring really shows you the difference and the segments. See what dave.m wrote and you will see the difference. To me it is very easy to see.

One of my favourite reef authors, Ron Shimek, addressed this very question here.

Here's a YouTube clip of some worms you may meet. Lots of other articles on this topic are available on-line as well. Just Google.

Thanks Dave!!

his is just so large and seems to have to same external defense segments on its torso. I've just never seen a BW get that large before. I have always been told that they are a bit destructive when they become that size.

Ohh yeah those are large.. They are cool as I do not know what....

SO.... back to my tank... I only have BW in there and I enjoy watching them all.

So a few updates while we are in this thread:

The 120 stand is coming along. Mudding is finally complete on he wqall behind the location of the tank and I am ready to finish the final sand and then paint (tomorrow on both).

I changed up some of the ideas on the upgrade (for those that do not realize it... yeah this is an upgrade)

Place the 120 on the new stand, perpendicular to 180.
Pipe 120 into sump below 180.
Upgrade the 40 gallon breeder sump below the 180 to 75g.
Move 40 rock/sand/inhabitants to 75.
Install NEW pump (dc 12000) on new 75g sump.

Today I installed the ALK container and set up the oscillating pump programming to deliver about 80 a day to the tank. While I was doing this hap haphazardly previously.. I tested the ALK today and it was at 5.3

Yeah do what I preach.. (as a friend that was with me told me) I get it... Set up the 1.1ml/hr pump and will bring the alk up slowly.

How often do you REALLY check your settings and how often do you respond to their change?

OK... so... I got asked what was going into the 120...

A BLUE GIG.... Yeah one of those... I have a feeler out and once it gets acquired it will be shipped.... Then it will sit at the LFS for a month under QT and physical.

Today, though, just painted the 120 stand. Take a look on the camera, I updated the pan/tilt limits to see the new area(s).

Thanks for following along and I appreciate your comments and questions!

OK so sanding is done.

Who ever was moving the camera must have been bored enough to tune it on me sanding. LOL

Will you have one pump for the 120 and 180? Are you using PVC or flex pipe to plumb the the 120 to the sump?

Also, is the return pump on the left closest to the 120? If so where are the drain lines from the 120 entering the sump?

WOW... Those are all questions I ask my self when I look in there too.

I am going to finalize that idea and post up some plans expications.

But here is a video to tide you over. It is still compiling so it might take it a few minutes until it is publicly visible.

I am walking to that part now to make some more changes.

Thanks for the questions RJT. I will get back to you.

Worm, looking good man!! I always enjoy hoping I. Your thread and watching your videos and looking at your photos.

Can't wait to see the new resident in the tank!!

Here are some pictures of the build so far.

Stand in place unpainted. Test fitting the top.

20131231_160027.jpg

Traced out plywood so that bottom shelf lines up exactly.

Haddoni wanted some picture time too.

20140101_201257.jpg

After adding alk. They really expanded. Had to get my alk up... it was at 5.

OOPs.... 11.48

20140102_144514.jpg

Plastic up over 180 so that sanding does not get inside it.

20140102_145756.jpg

Some new equipment/stuff came in the mail. Any ideas?

Another of the corner, this time with tank.

Is that water I see?

20140103_192735.jpg

Lets see if this turns out ok. Both tanks.

180 in the room.

Lets see how these panoramas look:

This is a slow turn to the end of the tank. wanted to get the coloring right and not faded out.

The tank is a bit washed out but you get the point. This is a 180 left to right pan. The right wall is next. Went to to local home improvement store today and looked at cabinets, sink, counter top, and faucets.
