worms

sorry, i cant offer any pics because they are too small for my camera. they live in a colony near my jawfish's burrow. it seems under the sand that they construct a shell? of sand around them. they are typically out all day and night, halfway in the sand. very thin, about 5x as thick as a piece of hair and fairly clear.

what are they

hard to say without a pic, but it sounds like maybe just some sort of tubeworm. Does it get up and move around the tank? If not, its usually safe to say that it is safe to the tank if it doesnt get up and move to another area. This usually means its just a filter feeder. (there are the obvious exceptions of course...like aptasia for instance. It doesnt exactly "move" but they're bad)

hmm, i believe its a spagetti worm. i cant see any part of the worm its self but i see a ton of its feeding tentacles?
