Would a large pair of Genicanthus Melanospilos pick at Magnifica?

sugartooth

Reef bully
Hello,

I would like to hold a Magnifica in a 75 gallon QT/holding tank temporarily. In it, I have a large black spot angel pair, and a pair of Balteatus fairy wrasses.

The reason I want to hold it in this particular tank is because it's equipped with halides and a vortech is already in there.

I also have a tub w/eggcrate only and one Odontanthias Bourbanis. The problem is I have to make a foam guard out of scraps to cover a Seio and replace the VHO's with halides, so basically a little more work for me.

Would the first scenario be alright? I'm thinking between 1-7 days before getting it in it's 'permanent' home. (I want to rearrange rock and wait for it to settle, etc. before place the Magnifica back in)

Thanks very much for your input.

Genicanthus angels are planktivores in the wild and are amoung the safest of angels to put in a reef systems. I have never heard of any picking at anemones of any kind.

I have a pair of genicanthus bellus in my reef system and they are perfect, their are not any anemones in the system but are plenty of this for them to sample if they wish.

Thanks very much for your thoughts.
Yes, I understand they are genuinely reef safe.....but the reason I ask is because of the size of the holding tank and the relative size of the male. He's very large, a big bully (Mr. Jerky) and eats SO much. He boxes out the other fish and sits directly under the surface where I'm about the put the food in.

I worried that because of his appetite and attitude, he may damage the Magnifica unintentionally.

Thanks again for the input.

Cooooooool looking forward to it.

i am in the planning stage for my next tank too :)

48x27x14 rimless of course
