Would a nano wavebox work in a 36x24x16 tank?

I was ready to order myself a nano wavebox when I read on another RC thread where a wavebox doesn't work as well on a smaller 36" tank as it does on a longer 48" tank. Something about needing a faster pulse rate as the tank length gets shorter.

Anyone have experience (hopefully successful) using the tunze nano waveboxe on a 36" or smaller tank? Are there guidelines provided by tunze on what tank the device is suited for?

:hmm5:

With the 7092, it can work on tanks as small as 24", however, wave height and speed is a function of tank length, the longer the tank, the bigger the wave and the slower the frequency. On a 3ft tank it will absolutely work, but the wave will be fast and look a bit unnatural. It will still do the job and provide a reasonably natural effect, but it will be a fast wave.

In the video with your size tank, the user has it set up wrong, his placement and timing results in more of a front to back wave. A side to side wave would be much better looking and slower. I would consider a tank your size the practical minimum, a 120 is better yet and a 5ft 150 or 6ft 180 looks very natural in terms of the wave speed.
