This little guy was in a tank at the LFS labeled as "***'t Fairy Wrasse."
The employees weren't sure what it was, they said they couldn't find him in any of their books.
Can anyone ID? He's really cool looking, and cheap, but I don't make a habit of buying things without finding out what they are first.
He was about 1.5", roundish caudal fin, reddish-pink head and back, purpleish sides and belly, black spot at back of caudal fin, and two checkered black stripes. One one the upper 1/5th of the body running from the posterior end of the dorsal fin to just behind the gill plates, and another in the middle of the body running parallel to the anal fin.
Color and pattern were bilaterally symmetrical. Excuse the mediocre cell phone pictures.
