Wrasses + Mandarin

Possible to keep wraasses & mandarin ina 150g tank?

Ample pods (now), curious from folks who have experience long term.

It depends on the type of wrasse and how long the tank has been setup. I've got a Melanarus wrasse and a small female green Mandarin and they're fine together. My tank's been setup since 2004 and I have a 20 gallon refuge and about 120lbs of LR. I don't notice the Melanarus picking at the LR too often, but I've seen other types of wrasses pick consistently.

I have a mandarin with a mystery wrasse that doesnt give him a 2nd thought. Granted my mystery is is still young but so far so good.

I don't think the flasher wrasses hunt pods. I had one for a couple of years and never saw him go after anything in the rock. Pretty sure you'd be safe with any of the flashers, such as McCosker's, Carpenter's, etc.

It depends on the genus of the wrasse. Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus wrasses feed on zooplankton, and therefore won't really compete with a mandarin for food. Other wrasse genera will be in competition for the same food type as the mandarin, however.
