Wrasses - why it keeps dying

I have tried keeping many many types of wrasses and none of them survive past 2 weeks...

I have tried adorned, red head, yellow coris, green coris, marble, dusky etc and all somehow turn up dead

I have no issue with keeping other fishes...tangs, anthias, mandarin, clownfish etc.

Are wrasses generally not a hardy fish?

Mine's a 180 gallon 5 footer tank

Kh 8.0
Cal 420
Mag 1350
Temp 78F

Have a 2 inch sandbed using Caribsea ocean direct sand

I bought the wrasses from multiple places...all end up the same fate. I bought other fishes from these places too and no issue so I really doubt it's the place issue

Certainly no bullying...when I bought it, it was swimming nicely and no bullying but somehow after few days it end up dead

Other tankmates are tangs, anthias, chromis and a mandarin

What about nitrates and the filtration you are using? Wrasses do prefer a higher dissolved oxygen content than some other fish.

Other than that, it could just be poor luck with the specimens you have received.

Can you describe their behavior prior to death? Were they eating, swimming normally, and active before one day showing up dead? Were they quarantined?
