Yes, i am making alot of posts saying i am looking for things, but well, i need these things and want to try to save some money by finding used ones that i can trust first.

I am looking for lights that would do well on my 55 gallon tank that have enough lighting for Acropora. If you have any 2x 240w Halides, that would work too, anything that you ahve to offer, please let me know

also, i am looking for a nice powerful filter, i have only used WHispers and Aqua's but i am game to try anything new, especially since the tank will be bigger.

Stay away from the hang on the backs and canisters, get a sump and smack a skimer in it or just get a good hang on the back skimmer. HOB filters and canister are ok for some things but I have yet to see a really succesful reef tank with one. I use them at times to run carbon or other media but not full time. The sump doesnt have to be huge, you could even use two ten gallon tanks and have a refugium and a sump that should both fit under a 55.

yes... PLEASE>..lol....... Brian, when i get my tank set up (well, running, but not with corals or anything) could you help me out with the whole sump thing? you dont have to come to my house, i dont mean that, but like, in detail, step by step? that would help alot....

Gladly, when you get it all together I may even be able to swing by, gotta see what my schedule is like, been hectic lately. Is the tank drilled? till then go read www.melevsreef.com , you really dont need to go into the more exotic stuff he makes but it will give you some good info on sumps and how to use them to their potential. When Im done with my 180 I may have an extra overflow laying around if your tanks not drilled, till then get of RC for a few hours and go read Melevs...... tons of great info and some really cool ideas will be formed in your head.

Its easier with a drilled tank but not drilled will work as well

I have to say something........ and please take this as funny and not being mean......................but I find it funny that since the both of you are students.....you guys have the hardest to read posts out of anyone in here (spelling wise mostly).
