WTB: amphipods, mini-stars, strombus grazers

Hi, Everyone. My tank needs a tune-up. I'd like to re-seed it with amphipods (40+), mini-stars (12+), and strombus grazers (12+). I can order these from IPSF, but would prefer to buy them locally from LFS or hobbyists.

I'm in the Rochester burbs. Please reply to this thread if you know of any LFS that has these. PM me if you have any you'd like to sell.

This might be a stupid suggestion because it seems the most obvious..... but have you called Caribbean Forest and The Reef Shoppe? Also ABC Pet City in Fairport. If they don't have things in stock they might be able to order it for you and cut out that shipping cost most online retailers will charge you. Tom at the Reef Shoppe is my go-to guy for local advice.

I have some chaeto that is teeming with life and i could probably rustle up a few mini stars and a few brittles. I am unsure if i have the grazers, my guess is i do not. if you want to make the ride to farmington it is all fo free! You coming to the salty frag swap saturday?

I have a surplus of asterina stars right now and would be happy to give you some. I have never seen them bother corals and just find them on the glass each morning. I'm in Chili and you're welcome to come over. This is a busy weekend, so PM me to arrange a time.

...a nice sized chaeto ball is usually teaming with pods. :dance:

Patti7dc: obviously not a dumb question at all. i just bought two fish from the reef shoppe this week, but hadn't thought then about the pods etc. Was going to call them yesterday afternoon but ran out of time. still, i like checking with hobbyists first because you often get more for the $ (or frag or even free!).
