Alexander is really happy tonight after seeing his new Yasha and Randall Pistol finally make an appearance to feed. Dave (dzones) had the pair and was going to give the Yasha to David Hensley. After hearing about what happened the pair was offered to Alex and boy is he happy. Alex says thanks to Dave and David.:)

We'll, they are new to the tank and were only out for maybe 10 seconds to grab some food. Maybe I'll see them long enough to snap a picture next time they come out. If so, I'll post the pics. They have been in there since Wednesday night. I'm just glad they stayed paired up and are doing ok. I was getting a little worried until I finally saw them tonight.

Ok. It took patience but I got a few pics. They are very timid right now and I trouble getting close up shots.

If I can get a real good shot later on I'll post it.

What size koralia do you have in that tank?

A deuce or single Koralia 2 to be exact.

Cool!
I was pretty sure they would find each other before too long. nice to see that happy smile

I got a #1 in my 30 and it seems like too much at times. I put a timer on it so it comes on in 15 minute intervals. Is it bad to do that?

It is all about taking time to keep tweaking until you find just the position for it. I had to keep adjusting to get a good flow throughout the tank and not blow sand around. You shouldn't have to turn it off, but someone else with more experience may be able to direct you better. I have read that the Koralias at times have trouble starting and tend to not like on and off intervals like wave makers, but if that is working for you it may be fine. If you can keep what you have healthy and happy using a different technique, then that is all that matters in the end IMHO.

I was planning on using a red sea wavemaster that I just got and a couple of koralia nanos for my tank instead of the number one. Is this a bad idea? and if so what kinda powerheads should I use? My number 1 seems fine...at least for now any way.

Some of you guys with more knowledge can better answer this.
