When a gigantea anemone is listed as yellow, does this really mean a shade of brown, or tan?
I would not mind trying a green, but not a brown/tan gig.
Most likely a bleached green.
What type of lighting do you have? The reason I ask is because if it turns out to be a tan gig, under LEDs it could change to a mauve color. My gig looked tan under halides but when I switched to LEDs it changed to a more pleasing color. See photo to the left.
I have a feeling you haven't shopped for a gig. I don't think you would call any gig "just a tan/cream color" since as others have mentioned, all gigs are rare, particularly healthy ones. I would never purchase a gig off a list or sight unseen, not to say that you would, but if you have your heart set on a particular color, ask for LFS to order the color you want. If you want green, the wholesale list should say green.
My yellow/tan Gigantea is about 12-14 inches. It is in a 65 g tank with :worried: 5 other anemones. Two Malu, two Maxi Tapetum carpets and another Gigantea. The have been together since about 9/2012 and are doing well. I used to have several BTA in there but removed them and sold all the BTA.Minh,
how big is the yellow/brown gig? Do you have a pic showing placement of gig?
