Yellow spotted skeletor moray with small fish?

I saw this eel come up on diver's den and it's facial structure looks similar to that of a zebra moray so I'm wondering if it will be safe with small fish such as gobies. I really want a moray for my 180, but don't want something as large as a zebra. Does anyone have any experience keeping skeletor's with small fish?

Skeletor morays are in the Echidna genus along the likes of snowflake & chainlink morays, which all have molar-like teeth for chomping primarily on crustaceans. That's not to say they won't snack on fish though, especially if it's something like a goby that sits around a lot.

I have had one for a few years without issue. I kept it with various scorpion fish, lions of all sizes and goblins. Before moving it was in a tank with a flag fin, very small female bird wrasse and juvenile maroon. It's a great eel but loves to dig.

Thanks for the responses. I'm debating between a skeletor and a golden dwarf moray. I plan on having a goby and shrimp pair, blenny, and a jawfish. Any idea which of these two would be the safer option?

Go with the dwarf. Skeletor gets much bigger like a big snowflake plus mine eats shrimp couple of times a week so you may have an issue with your stocking list.

I have a zebra moray and he was with all sorts of inverts with no issues at all. Thier eye sight is so poor they would have trouble eating any live fish... If one can catch a fish the fish was sick or injured to begin with. I feed my zebra shrimp, silversides, krill and squid. Again I problems with shrimp, snails, crabs, or fish

I used to have a zebra. Sweet personality but hid a lot like any eel.Wish i saw it more of it, very pretty eel never even harmed my gobies. Had him in a 150 gallon.
