I'm somewhat embarrass to post pic of my tank since there are so many nice setup out there built but Sahin encourage me to start a tank thread so here goes. I been running this tank since 2012 but had to reboot in 2013 after AEFW( most sps didn't make it but did save a few)
I have some name corals but I love to buy the $10 1-2 in frags. So if I dont give it a name its a cheap sps.
The tank is an Illuminata 57g
LIGHT- 2 Radion a G1 on left and a G3 on the right.
Circulation pumps- are 2 MP40 in pulse mode most of the time. Exposed one at 100% and hidden one at 20% ( I don't real like the PH in the tank)
-I "˜m vodka dosing which really works out for me. This allows me to heavy feed fish and coral (reef chili and roid ) . But I get a red macro algae over the rock. Plus side is its red and fish and hermits like to eat it. It also might add balance to the parm of the tank. Down side it's not that pretty. Anyone knows how to get rid of it?
-I'm dose CAL/ALK/MAG and acropower ( night and day color improvement after using this stuff 3 mo now)
-Water parameter? I don't know"¦ I stop measuring after the tank stabilized.
Only one I measure every few days is the salinity.
I usually do a 5 gal water once a month. I use a top off pump and remove a few cups over a 2 day period one day I hope to make or buy a auto water changer .I don't use RODI but just city tap water with prime. I ran the tank using RODI the 1st year but stopped since it seem to waste( maybe no waste output to garden) a lot of water.
Topoff( tap water/prime) is a tunze feeding a Kalk mixer )
Skimmer "“ a plain SC. ( wet skim) Plan to upgrade to a skimz soon.
Sump- 30-40 gal with live rock, fuge and mangroves ( picked them up when I was in Hawaii last year)

The Iphone can't seem to handle the blue so almost most are in the 12-16k range

I don't like the shot since its so fuzzy but you can see the color and PE. (the past PM I hardly saw any PE) had it 2-3 mo.
This one in the foreground is interesting since it was a brown $10 frag that was marked down to $5. Sat in the back of tank for a bit after it fell off the rock I had it on. Found it again when I was moving some rocks. Seem to have colored up after add the acropower. Had it about a year now.
