Thanks, acropower was the answer for my tank. Before that I thought it was the LED that was the problem.
Hmm.... Alk was low 89 and cal was high 1300. Regant b of the cal expired so think I'll get a reading tomorrow at lfs
Alk concerns me a bit and can explain why some of the new frag have stn.
But don't want to get caught up in chasing the numbers
 
Copps 24k Milli
About a year old I did a group buy from Copps with other local reefers.
Started off as an inch frag but after another rock landed on it it broke and a had 2 very small frags left.Lucky for me both survived.
Doesn't look like Coopps pic yet. Maybe my lighting??
Still looking for its sweet spot. If anyone else had this let me know best spot for it.

Your tank is awesome. I live in San Bruno and tested my tds at around 65 as well and I'm also thinking about going tap. Actually met a few reefers in the area that swear by our tap and they've all had thriving tanks. Got a 100 gal cycling right now and would love to go heavy sps like you but prices for frags are a little high for my taste. Haha

With the drought going on it the way to go.
All the frags in the pic were $10 ea from Neptune in SJ.

Found out I can get free test with any purchase of $10 or more.
Alk a bit low but think that a normal for carbon dosing.

I ordered a bottle of Acropower. After doing some reading it seems hit or miss but mostly hit. When I retest tomorrow, if my Nitrates and Phophates aren't going crazy, I might just shut down my GFO and GAC completely and see what that does. My Alk has slipped down to 8.5 and I'm thinking about letting it continue to drop slowly to 8 before I level it off.
 
I came back from vacation and there was no red cyano in my tank. I dosed acropower and it came back. :D

Go lite on the dosing IMO, just a half a cap in my 150 will bring on the cyano.

Nice, I'm already battling some cyno... Have you ever tried dosing Microbe-Lift Special Blend for it? I've been reading a lot about it and figured I'd give it a try. I haven't read any negatives to using it, other than for some people it doesn't work. It seems to work best on ULN systems which mine is.

Yes, but it got kicked out of the house because I could not block the smell coming from the bottle. BioDigest might be helping as mine is never all that bad.
 
Nice pick ups on those new frags. I might have to make the drive down to Neptune and see what they got. As far as acropower, I have been dosing about 20ml a day and have not had any problems with cyano. Not sure if it's helping or not, but it's certainly not hurting anything. I'm going to continue using it and bump it up to 30ml/day in the next couple months.

Cool ! Which one s did you get? What kind of light are you running?
Hope it's not a Radion since I want to compare Radion vs MH or T5
