Yes, It's Another Tank thread

Looks awesome do you see a correlation between Acropower and algae growth? Considering dosing some
From what I can tell it's the result of the carbon dosing. Think another reefer said its the something about the sugars.
I didn't notice any increase or decrease in algae growth after using the acropower.

Formosa pink tip- 3 + years grew into 2 colones but aefw ate most all of one and this one browned out. Started to come back but acropower gave it the color it has now.

Thanks!
Didn't do it for awhile but found my meter and replaced the corroded battery and its reading 66 TDS for my tap water.

That kind of explains the success of tap water IMO. My TDS is 250, so I don't dare try it, but I have no real idea if it will work or not. I am a big fan of Prime, used it for years in freshwater.

I wonder if you have Hard water if so then it's like a Kalk water??? Not sure if that's how it works?
Maybe worth getting the water analyze? Hmm... in SF we can get a water Q report from the city. I never did since if I did I'll never drink the water again if I knew whats in it....lol

Love the tank and you have some great pieces of Sps! I have the same passion for Sps and I also have that same redish/burgundy algae! Lol I think I've always had it but my snails keep it in check for the most part.

Generally, SF has some of the best tap water in the states, thanks largely to the hetch hetchy reservoir. Suitable for reef tank use - apparently! Looks good and I need to drive down to pick up some frags from Tim too. Nice pieces!

My snails don't touch it but the tangs and hermits are all over it.
I tried a sea hare and turbo but they didn't touch it. Cant seem to get rid of it. Tried using RODI for 6 mo, no feeding, that Kent Mag trick, with no luck.

Think he'll be in the bay area again in April. Yea, got to get my frag fix. My wife teases me and say "I hope you're out meeting your girlfriend and not picking up corals"

Nice tank, maybe some day we can trade some frags. :D
Cmon on by if I can frag it you have have one. I like to see how they do in another tank.

Don't have any coral myself but nice looking tank you got! Maybe someday when I'm older and wiser

LOL......... big money pit.
Buy coral, grow coral ,mishap kills coral ,repeat

You're corals look great! I'm trying to figure out how to get them colored up in my tank... I use rodi, carbon, gfo, and heavy skimming. I think I'm stripping too much. I'm curious what your test results are like. What do you average for Alk, Nitrate and Phosphate?

$500 efflo frag
Order a frag pack from turbo21. This was nice but hope it's the real deal.
2 mo and encrusted otherwise not much growth.
