Yonkers fish store

Funny you mention them DgenR8. I was just told the same thing from another member last night!! Thanks for posting this :thumbsup:
 
Maximum Reef is unbelievable!!!! I was fortunate enough to have my youngest son take me there a few weeks ago. There fish, and corals looked super healthy, and the prices are unbelievable.. I can't even begin to understand how they do it.;) I picked up a Purple Tang approximately 3.5" or 4" for the unbelievable price of a whopping $75.... That's right $75 compare that to the lowest I had found them in L.I., Queens, and Brooklyn's lfs cheapest $132.........
Not to mention what I paid for the PBT, Majestic, and Flame Angelfish.;)
 
Thanks Larry, when Im ready (hopefully in a few more weeks) Ill give them a visit.. only a 20 minute drive from my house. Not too bad. Just gotta pay for toll though :(
 
I haven't been there yet, Stan. I was in Yonkers yesterday, but it's not easy to park a 40' long truck while visiting a LFS. Would have been difficult to explain the large bag of corals to my boss, too.

Staaan, with the $$$ you save the toll becomes insignificant.;)

DgenR8, they have a parking lot in the back of the store.;) We found out when I was paying, and saw the door that lead out to the parking lot.lol
 
I guess I'll have to take a closer look next time I'm up there. I still don't see myself leaving my truck alone, with my luck it wouldn't start when I got back to it and I'd have to explain where I was for a tow truck to come get me.
 
they're a nice vendor on MR. so far, the past 2 sundays were special events. one was SPS colonies for $35 and the other was LPS colonies $5+. i believe it's aussie sunday tomorrow. happy reefing in yonkers!
 
I wasn't aware that they were special prices and that you had to be there at the right time. Looks like it's going to take some planning.
 
Best LFS in Ny, Healthy fish and corals, lowest prices. Last week they were selling lps starting at $5 and the week before they were selling sps colonies for $20.
 
My understanding is that they always have low prices. For instance I purchased a 5"+ Fat, with vibrant colors PBT for $65, 4" Majestic Angelfish for $65, 2" Flame Angelfish for $25, and a 4" PT for $75 on regular prices.:)
They do have big "SPECIALS" every Sunday. They alternate SPS one Sunday, followed by LPS the following Sunday.
 
Yea this place is great. Large selection of fish and prices are great. I picked up 2 sps colonies and 10 chromis. Chromis were 2 bucks a piece lol. I'm definetly going back
 
Guys we go up to maximu reef often here in SI. The prices are awsome. The selction are very good and always fully stocked. If your looking for high end sps not so great all maracultured mini colonies the go between 20-40 bucks depending on the sale. Not so impressed but then again not a hugh fan of maraculture sps.
 
I have family and friends in Westchester and they all swear by this place ..I may have to pay the toll and take the trip one day...
