Nice I cant wait to SEA it up and running. Wanna thank mike for all the great service ive gotten at SEA as well, hats off to you sir.

Looking forward to seeing the pics! Is it possible for before and after, so we can see the difference.

ugh sorry havent had time to mess with the tank yet, Its over my cube, which has no lights right now =/ I need to find/buy a controller for the AI so i can see what % the lights are set at. So stay tuned! lol

I got my AI Sol Blue modules from Mike about 2 weeks ago, very bright lights so be careful with the settings

Here is a pic of my Sol Blues at only 30% raised 22" above the water level on a 48x18x18 tank

That is a sweat set-up, I would love to see the lights in person. How many panels would I need to light my 60 by 24 by 30 ? What is the cost per unit ?

Sweet KMU! What controller are you using for those?

vw you have to visit SEA, great store great bunch of people.
...you've at least been to SWS riiigghht?? lol

yea silly thats an led light..if you stare at it it will blind you! haha really though... when I was setting up my DIY fixture, I accidentally turned them on while facing them..I was seeing blue and white dots for days! they're so bright!!

Sharp fixtures!

What is the ratio of blue to white and are they controllable separately? Also what optics are you using?

1 Cool White 1 Royal Blue and 1 Regular Blue per puck
You can control each color separately which is super sweet.. unfortunately, I dont have my controller yet =/ they come stock with 40* optics, ( im pretty sure) but you can buy 70* optics from AI

Thanks for the pictures (and info)! I have been looking into LED's to replace my T5's, but I might just have to save up for some of these!

How hot does the actual fixture get?

If you "turn them down" with the controller do they loose the size / coverage of the tank?

My setup has an enclosed hood. I was thinking about mounting these to the top lids. BUT now that I look at your pictures, it looks like these vent out the very top. I could build a "stand off" to give them some space to breath, but that would put the lights about 6-8" off the water surface.

That's a great color combo for color and growth. The 40* optics are the most efficient in terms of par. Dial up the output much more and that BTA will need sunscreen!

AI makes very good LEDs, did you look into any other brands such as Pacific Sun? The only reason I ask is that other companies are starting to make some nice setups as well. Hopefully the price will drop with increased competition.

Gary I would say 5 units. You could try 4 but I think you might have a little spot light effect near the top of the tank. I personally don't mind that look but I know how you like everything perfect. :)

IMO the moonlight options are awesome and an overlooked feature of owning these.

Thanks, do you know the price of each unit ?

Aquarium specialty sells them. I think they are just over $500 each. They do pop up on the used equpt forum from time to time.
