Zeovit supp. in a sps tank any experience??

My biggest isue with ZEO at this point, is you're all still just guinea pigs. A year ago, you could do anything with it. Then a whole bunch of people lost tanks after running ZEO and ozone. Manuals get updated. Then people start losing tanks with ZEO and UV. Manuals get updated.

Unless I actually know what it is, and exactly what it is doing, I dont know if adding somethign is going to cause a tank crash.

I don't remember a time while the product was available in the states when the use of UV and/or Ozone was not excluded in the manual. The manual I think was only available (in English) maybe the same month I started the system and both UV and Ozone were not to be used then.

As for knowing what it is... sorry I can't help. ;)

There was a time.

The thing is, they came over saying that this stuff had been used in europe for 10 years, and there were no risks as long as you followed the manual. Its pretty obvious to me that either they were withholding information, or not nearly as many people were using it as they said.

I have a lot of money in my reef tank. I will not be a guinea pig if I have no idea whats going on. If I atleast have a valid theory, maybe.

Rich, believe me, I understand and appreciate your concerns.

And again, yes, the manual has been changed to reflect not only the reponses some have had but also changes to the product which IMO were made to reduce problems some users had. I have a gut feeling many of the problems were the direct result of overdoses on some systems where users were unable to track changes made in nutrient levels and continued dosing based on the clock and not their individual tank's results/condition. The "if some is good then more is better" will not provide success.

In general I just grow bored of the same thing every day and that's why I look for different methods. If I had to maintain my tank the same way I did 15 years ago I'd be out of the hobby for sure.
