Here you go with a full blown zeo system.

Peace [/B][/QUOTE]

I am sorry to burst your bubble guys, but these pics have been imaged... if you look closely, nice colors but they have been tampered with nonetheless... I didn't read the whole 9 pages, but if it was not mentioned I feel to mention it now.

I personally do not believe that these pics have been "tampered" with based on my knowledge of this individual. But my suggestion to you is that if you're going to make statements like this (which most people would consider inflammatory), it would go over better if you provided some kind of back-up for your statement. For example, what evidence do you have for this and what makes you a good authority on image tampering?

Thankyou...

taking in account what kind of lighting does pictures were taken with i don't think they are tempered with.
400w 20K MH supplemented with VHO actinic and figi purple T5s. the figi purple bulbs really make reds pop and green look natural. we already know the 400w 20k bulbs are the best for color. and VHO actinic are best for florescence.

TeeLapia,

I disagree. Look at the color of the diffuser. Thats an accurate white.

Looks like white diffuser in a 20k tank to me.

Yep, the white's are white, the coraline's purple. What's a person supposed to do in order to have their great colors look "believable?" Tone them down a little?

seriously, this isn't the first time that a person was absolutely positive that a zeo users's coral photos were photoshopped, because the colors were so intense...(last time the owner was Iwan Lasser).

I have a background in digital photography, I am no pro, but the pictures are something a novice can point out. The hue cause the the shadows to get darker. The more you adjust the deeper and darker it gets. Thus you get the popping effect, and the deep colors. If you look the "black" is very very deep. Normally it will look like a shadow it will be dark with some gray. This has adjustments to temp, hue, and various other ranges.
Just wanted to point that out, and I didn't mean to be inflammatory towards anyone. I can pull a picture out and show you a before and after, but that would be when I get home. Anyone wanna give me a picture and I can post the differences up on here if you would like.

I felt the need to ask J.Prostrata about this because I'm so hard pressed to believe that he photoshopps his pics. He said that he's got black acrylic on the inside of his tank...that might be the area visible in the photo....

Here's another one of his pics, with purple cyano visible in its full glory:

What has become of "j.prostrata"? His profile indicates that he has "Moved On". I was hoping to learn more of his theories and opservations about elevated NO3 levels.

He was banned for life a long time ago .

You can find him on another site .His name is Gqjeff over on this other site . I can not tell you the site as for RC rules . Sorry I have to go I hear them coming ...........:eek1: :eek1: :eek1:

I work with PS all the time and I can say that the only thing he has done is bump the saturation of the colors...most likely by 30 to 40%

He is still getting great colors and awesome growth....

Based on my knowledge of PS here is what it most likely really looks like:

Still very impressive....

My point exactly. I just thought it was a little bit on the white side, and the hue was off. His pictures seemed overly saturated. He is getting crazy color, I don't know why it was edited to begin with.
Thank you.

This has been a good thread, lets move on... shall we?

Zedar, nice pics. what are you doing for cal/alk and trace?

We ordered some coral snow to try out, and pending it's effects will try it in combination with BBalance to further tweak colors. We were going to give the basic 4 a try, but decided to hold off as what we're doing is working just fine right now.

Another perfectly good thread derailed and probably on its way to being closed. Why mess with his pictures even if you dont believe the colors are acurate. Not cool. It doesnt matter anyway :( His method is one of the best around.

I agree with Jeff . Not cool at all . If your really that worried about it shot him a PM and ask to see his tank in person . I know I have been invited to and I know a couple others that have been as well . Really doesn't seem to be trying to hide or trick anyone as far as I know . He has fine tuned his dosing to get the best color possible and good for him .
