Zoa on sand bed?

I have seen many tanks with a lot of zoa on sand bed. I'm trying to do the same. And they only grow on the rock they attach. How do you guys grow zoa on sand bed like that?

Put rubble rock all around the rocks. they wont.... (usually) wont grow on the sand.

Mine just grow longer tubes. This colony of rose nebulas are now 8-9 inches in diameter. The original rock is only about 2 inches

Mine does that as well. Only attach to the rock and grow longer tubes. It does look like it grow on sand bed.

The rubble technique sounds good to me. I will give it a try.
