Zoa's and T-5 lighting

I am thinking about making my new 30 gal. long a Zoa dominated tank. I will be using the Nova Extreme 4 T-5 HO fixture. How will do Zoa's do under this type and amount of lighting? Does the type and amount of light affect how brilliant the colors are?

i have seen many color up under t5's real nice. i am getting ready to setup a 2x175w xm 15k with some t5s for supplement them. cant wait to see how it comes out.

i have a nova extreme T5HO with eight 54 watt bulbs over my 90 mixed reef. the zoas do very well under this kind of lighting and look good as well.

I have 8x54w t5's on my 75g zoa dominated tank... 2x10k, 3x420nm, 3x460nm...

I have 6 54watt T5 bulbs over my 4 foot 120 gallon powered by IceCap ballasts and everything is doing great... Knock on wood:

How high or low do you have your PPE's at in your tank... I have a small colony and 3 separate frags in different locations in the tank to get the most vivid color out of them...
BTW I have the TEK 8 bulb 54watt x 8 system. 20" high only

Love my T5's...just a few weeks under the T5's brings out colors I never saw under my MH's. Have a 36" Nova Extreme over my frag tank and a Tek 36' 6 bulb over my 5G.

Best position I've found for growth has been just under the surface... I set my frag rack about 1 1/2" from the surface and leave them there to grow out... (75g) As far as coloration goes, under my t5's, I'll leave them about halfway down in a 75g... Under 2x250w MH HQI, they go on the bottom for color... (120g) Hope this helps...

I have the nova extreme on my 55g. I love them. Zoas seem to also.
