He is such a keep that I have kept him around for almost twenty years. Mike I would love to be nailing the stand together but we dont have the lumber yet. I hope we can get that rolling soon.

Ok so the 12g nano has become a frag tank for the 100g. If Rick doesn't hurry up with the 100g I am going to run outta room for frags and thst wont be a good thing lol. here is a fts of the nano

It was killer not being there,

but my parents are special....57 years together that weekend and took them for first peek at their great grand daughter.... was awesome.

Oh wow what a special moment that must have been. I am all about family and so I completely understand. We will see you at the next meeting

Well we began the build of the stand yesterday. When we get it completed I will post pics. It is going to be a long drawn out process in its self due to money being tight. Right now it is just a skeleton. lol looks kinda funny.

Ok guys and gals, It is time for picture posting. This is what we have done so far on the build.

Okay so tomorrow the plans are to finish placing some braces and skin it. We will be making a trip to Regal for supplies to make the internal overflow. We are also looking for someone to make cabinet doors for the monster. This weekend Rick is going to try to get the top piece of plexi cut and glued in place. Then we will begin the build of the canopy and plumbing. It is starting to come together and it is getting so exciting. Everyone that walks in our front door say "wow it is BIG". That is the best part lol :bounce3: Please let us know what you think. We are also looking for a water tank that will fit inside one end of the stand for a ATO.

i just bought a plastic tank from tankdepot.com and you can get just about any size you want. i needed a very tall skinny tank for an ato as well. they will also ship it with out any holes so you can cut your own if you want. takes about two weeks to get it but very easy to deal with. looking good on the build!

ok top is cut and on the tank.routering was an exsperience and quickly figured out water helps.i quess monday ill start the overflow box but i have a question about if i should attempt to cut teeth or not.the smallest bit i found for the router was half inch and i think that is to big for the teeth,i can attempt to use the jigsaw or just cut the overflow box down a bit but cannot find anything in diy or elsewhere on how far down to cut it.i figured if i cut it down i could use quarter inch holed plastic canvas(unless someone knows of something stiffer)to keep fish from going over the edge.so question is cut teeth or not to cut teeth and if not how far down to cut the box and what to use as a fish barrier?it is a three sided overflow 12 inches across and 6 inches back and i used the calculator to find out that if i want about 600-900 gph 6 -9 time turnover i would need 9 inches of open teeth at 1 and 1half from top but nothing about cutting it straight across.oh yeah water test tomorrow cross your fingers.
