1000 Gallon Build- Here we go- Lots of Pictures

not sure if you called them but if not just call Neptune 4087794090 option 2 then option 9 they usually pick up quickly. I just got off the phone with them. they will set it up for you remotely as long as you have a computer on hand

I'm positive "No Comm" is related to the system not being connected to Fusion, rather than not having local network connectivity. I saw the same on my display when we moved last month and had no internet at the new house. After getting internet my display showed Fusion OK until I changed the display to show pH and Temp on the main page.

I'm at work and dont remember exactly where but if you scroll through the menus to network setup you should see the IP the system is getting and be able to access it via a web browser like Slief said.

Ive got someone coming tomorrow to troubleshoot and figure it out. Im fairly computer savvy - but this is beyond me.

Again- this is why I did not want to set up an Apex! Ive heard of these stories and was trying to avoid it completely. I know it will be fine when its all up and running but sigh!

Good deal, if you have any more issues or want to bounce ideas around let me know. My office is in the Scottsdale Airpark so Im close by and my apex controls everything on my tank from ATO to turning on lights in my stand when the cabinet doors open.

Thanks Ian- I'm in DC ranch. I'll let you know and would love a second set of eyes on the tank in a few weeks. I'm busy next week but maybe swing by in a couple of weeks? You can give me feedback on what to add to the apex.

Awesome, Ill send you a PM with my number. Let me know when you are free. Im about to start putting my 220 back together and would love to get the chance to check out your system and shamelessly steal some of the neat ideas I've seen in your build.

I think the APEX is a great product, but there is definitely some front end tuning that could be done to make it more user friendly for new users.

Awesome, you'll like the way it offers piece of mind through the programming. You had that a bit with that whole house controller you have. I forgot the name of it. Any more pics?

Been a while since an update. Had some challenges that set me back. We had a heat wave and my ac had been shut off in my fish room causing the tank temp to spike. All fish are fine but I lost a few corals and some shrimp. Nothing catastrophe but still bummed. I have the temp stable at 81 degrees. If it spikes again, I'll have to look to adding a chiller which I was hoping to avoid.

I'll post some photos in a bit.

That's where Apex shines. Mobile alerts can save your tank. Did you get notified from your Apex? Glad to hear you didn't lose everything.

I had a lot of trouble at first too. The eventual problem was that the metal prongs in the ethernet port were bent sideways. No connection =no connection.
