i havent heard too many good things about that skimmer. be careful

I agree, every post I have read about those skimmers says they are a POS. I would definetly be careful. I would try to spend the extra bucks and get yourself a worthy skimmer.

Cool looking tanks dudes!
I've had fun with my 10 gallon for 6 months now, here's an older pic, I'll get a more recent one this evening, but wanted to subscribe!

My 10 gallon "kitchen nano" from 2003 when it was featured on nano-reef.com (I'm Brooklyn Johnny over there) showing above cabinet refugium...

Wow...that's all I can say. My problem is I have the AC110 Mod and it takes up a lot of room so I would need to buy a skimmer that could fit in a small space.

I would use a Lee's Airstone Powered Protein Skimmer over the new Fission. You could even have someone fab you up a small open bottom aitstone powered protein skimmer.

Well here is mine.
Bak-Pak protein skimmer
24in 130wt fixture
Wisper 40 as flow
15 lbs of LR

This is a fairly old pic but will try to get a more recent one later

Beutiful!

It really looks good in your kitchen.
I think I followed this tank awhile back.

Did it have a thread on RC?

i hope that LMB gets enough to eat...

are you talking about my tank? LMB? if your talking about the sun coral, its half dead cuz its a rescue, and its eating every other night and in the daytime when i feed the fish.

I think he was referring to that fish in the upper left corner of your tank shot, a lawnmower blenny (LMB). They love to eat algae, of which you seem to have no shortage.

yes i meant lawnmower blenny, and you have a lot of aglae(no offense) but once he eats all of it he will starve unless he eats prepared food.

ohh i keep forgeting about him. actualy he is starting to run out of food. he doesnt eat the current hair algae. the last algae bloom he looked like a ball with a tail. but this hair algae is strange and he doesnt eat it. he isnt going to starve, he is borrowed from the lfs i work at and ill soon be returning him.

ill tell you my mistake i made early on, i bought a mandarin. oops. he eventualy got so thin i knew he was going to die if i didnt do something. so i donated him to my bosses live rock filled 220gallon reef tank. and in the 3 months he has been there, he has gained all the weight back and almost looks fat.

im glad you saw him :d didnt think many people would look that close to the picture. did you see my purple mushrooms?
