Been monkeying with my sulphur denitrator for a while without any consistent success due to my negligence primarily. So, going to fire this custom GEO I had built last year with Seachem Matrix. Not sure how many gph it'll take for the desired effect, so I'll measure the output after a couple weeks. Still adding 6-8 more liters of Matrix to fill it up, then I'll cover it in Mylar to keep the light out. Definitely an experiment, but an easy one.

Reactor is 12"x24". Using a 3/4" Spears gate valve on the output.

My Matrix works great. In the thread about the stuff in the sps forum I believe reefmutt gives a specific flow that works good.

The only thing I saw on flow was 100gph through a 6" diameter reactor using siporax. I think slow flow for bacteria to multiply is key, then just checking output nitrate for a difference. I'm going to add carbon source to help boost bacterial populations in the beginning. Definitely an experiment:)

Are you going to dose some type of bacteria in a bottle? It took 6 weeks before I seen any difference. I run mine passively in the sump though.

I have a bottle of MB7 around here somewhere if I can only find it. I've read ok stuff about the Prodibio line as well, but no experience with it.
