And there it is...Karen Brittain accomplishes the unbelievable! What a milestone in this hobby of ours!

Ted, congratulations--I hope to see a full writeup of the story soon! This has been the most exciting year ever for Angelfish lovers in my opinion.

So, here is the story...

I kinda heard that Rufus had a gp and was going to have Karen B try and breed them..She was successful just over 10 years ago with them..got 4 and 1 survived and lived for around 10 years before carpet surfing and dying...
 
I bothered Rufus for an update and he finally called me last March/April and the first words he spoke were, "how well can you keep a secret?" I laughed and said, "seeing as how it is you asking, I am all in." He then told about the gp project.
 
Here is where it got interesting...months before he called I was speaking with Karen about Larry's Reef Frenzy and how much success I was having with it- especially with baby and finicky fish. She then reached out to Larry and ordered some. It turns out the male gp was not eating and Karen felt he was beginning to starve. He would not accept any food. Karen was going to ask Rufus to re-release the fish back into the ocean. Larry's Reef Frenzy was a last ditch attempt to get the fish eating....Well, the food worked like a charm and he devoured it!
He became a total stud and they began to display mating behavior...
 
Wayne was visiting Hawaii and met up wit Rufus and Karen and kinda inadvertently saw the gp tanks...it was just after that that Rufus called me.

I got the 3 gp the 2nd week of June- along with Blondie and the baby bandits...

They have been doing great...

I got Hedgedrew in and he also got 3...

I was the 2nd person in the world to receive them...the first guy to get is an uber and very private collector that lives in Hong Kong, he bought 2...

Hedgedrew was the 3rd person to get.

They were about a half-inch when I got and have grown nicely..
