130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

Sorry to ask, as I'm sure this question has been asked somewhere within the 500+ posts, but what kind of rock did you use? Looks great and really makes the colors of your fish stand out.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment!
That is Marco Dry Rock- it is really great stuff, I high recommend it and the Owner Marc Tetreault is beyond helpful! There are a few diffferent styles and the flatback is the stuff I siliconed onto my overflow to cover it. Bear in mind I still have not hooked up the Mitras units so the tank is only receiving ambient sunlight which has allowed the rock to remain almost algae-free...please feel-free to ask any questions, I am happy to answer them.
good luck!!

Thanks for the quick answer. You are literally my idol. Seeing as im limited to a 240g tank at most, this is truly my dream tank. I understand the lighting situation, and once you get it, as im sure you know, its crazy what even 5 inches between your water surface does. My alge growth has more than doubled since my supports have broke( new supports, under warranty, inbound). But either way keep doin what your doin man. Kudos to an awesome tank.

Thanks bud, I have been planning this tank since I first saw a Humu almost 30 years ago...when the Mitras are running I will prob keep the white dialed back so algae doesn't take over- it is so nice not having it all over the place! The lights hang 20 cm above the water and I may even go a tad higher as I am not keeping any corals...when running 100% they are crazy bright, in fact, each unit comes with a pair of sunglass, no kidding...Went down to see Michael at nya this am to pick-up the 3 inch Clarion and she is currently in the 250 qt and doing great thus far, she was eating in the bag...I also dropped off 5 triggers (Queen-10 inches, Clown Trig- coral sea-7 inches, Mex Finescale Trig 12 inches, Haw Pinktail around 7 inches and a Half-moon trih around 4) that Michael at nya will be selling this week, ckeck em out on his website if curious...I have had them for about 3 years on ave...I like challenge of growing tiny baby trigs/angels and then passing them on..it was actually tough this time, lol, esp the queen from Belize- she is close to a foot and had some of the brightest greens Ive seen on a queen in a long time, will miss her a lot...I was supposed to pass on a Humu too- but couldn't do it, lol..so she is in my 125 by herself...as all this was happening I got a call from an old friend who had some Clarions, believe it or not, so a 2 incher will be here Tuesday, when it rains it pours, lol...I plan on removing some of my larger fish from the big tank to make room for the Outrigger trig and Clarions- including my 12 inch Red Sea Sohal that I have had since she was 2.25 inches...this hobsession is the best!

You guys have the tanks to beat. I know I say it all the time, but I can't wait to see full tank shots with the new additions.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I will take some new ones when all is settled but it is almost impossible for me to get all 10 feet of the tank into one picture...guess I need a wide angle lens!

for further proof when it rains it pours/feast or famine...
the same friend who got me the 2 inch clarion just called and offered a 3 inch clarion X passer hybrid...I passed but wow, there are some amazing fish around!

he also says there are going to be some very special fish coming this spring....I hope he is right...I am saving now!

Amen man! I will deff check out his page. Whats the web address? When i first got into the hobby i did something similar to you. I had a FOWLR 125 and i would keep all species that got big(sweetlips, groupers, lions, banded cats, angels, etc). I would grow them to a certain size and sell them back to LFS or locals. Then did it all over again with juvs of the same species. I even had to clear it out once for a 12" bumblebee grouper that i was holding for a friend while he was getting his 1000 fowlr set up. But eventually i just got tired of getting attached to fish that i had to get rid of.

nyaquatic.com...great stuff and very fair pricing...he gets lots of rare stuff...currently has 5 or sol 4 inch clarions and a few maze angels...

yeah, it is tough to part with fish...seems odd to many but so true...

Damn ted your tank is going to be insane. Belong in a museum.

I think clarions looks absolutely amazing as adults.

well the goal is to eventually put them together...though I am not sure...the little one was in Fletch's 75 qt and was getting pushed around by a Kiri trig...not even sure I want the 2 clarion together in my 250 qt...planning on getting rid of several large fish from the big tank to make room for the interrupta and clarions...
