130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

I just went through you whole thread ,,beautiful !,,and the word jealous comes to mind :lmao:..
Love all the fish ,and the cortez ,,definitely one you don't see many people with ...
Gives me something to strive for once our basement gets fully finished with heat

Thank you...

Cortez is one of my fav too...I got her tiny, she was a terrific cleaner as a baby and has always been a very mellow fish...they do get big and grow fast, (great to watch the baby to adult color transformation in this fish) so she was always lager than my other fish...when my emp finally gained her adult coloration she began going after the cortez...then the sohal started to bother her...so, when I got rid of the last group of fish, I knew I wanted to keep her...I just hope the 3 inch clarion will leave her alone....

Best of luck with your future tank and thank you again,

TK

I didn't know you had mated African Flamebacks! I have a mated pair in one of my medium fuge tanks too! They are gorgeous fish and I was very happy to find them! I love their color combo and behavior!!

I'm extremely envious..... You have a stock list of fish to drool over. Lol.

What could possibly be the secret fish that we are waiting for? There really isn't much else that could top what you already have!!
Do you have an insider at the Waikiki Aquarium that smuggled out a Peppermint angelfish?? Lol or is it really a Narcosis?
Perhaps something else I've never seen available which would be a baby Conspic !!
A "Tigerpyge" as RB calls them??!!
I can't wait a few weeks to see what the surprise is....

Thanks....yeah, they are very cool fish! they had recently begun to do their thing every night just after the actinics go off, it is always very cool to see that behavior, and it was becoming more complex...but the addition of the jocs may have temp ruined the mood as I have not noticed it the past few nights...the poor couple may end up living alone in the fuge under the big tank...
lol, when I have it, I will post it...:eek2::beer::eek2:
ironically, I hear that wen-ping and Bali A, the group that gave us tank bred annularis and currently have tank bred clarion, has also bred conspic...yeah about conspics, seldom seen when very small...the smallest I have ever seen was about 2.5 and, at that size, lol, they go really, really fast...I think Michael at nya mentioned he had a 3.5/4 incher a few weeks ago but I did not see it and lol, am pretty sure it was sold before he even listed it on his website....

Some interesting fish around....nya has one of the prettiest emps I have seen in a long, long time...she is fairly small with full adult coloration and with the deepest purples and brightest yellows possible- a stunning fish...then the vid of the debelius and personatus...and now Koji got a bonded pair of goldenbacks...that is only the 2nd bonded pair I have seen in 30 years....nice to see...

Have you seen the one on PIA? So tempting... look at that tail!

The large Christmas Island Emperor on NYA has the most beautiful, striking and perfectly formed patterns and coloration. It looks like a perfectly done painting.

Those Christmas Island Emps are always the most beautiful and Michael's Adult is not so shabby. Worth every penny. Someone will be lucky to pick it up.

Yup, that emp is the nicest I have seen in years...the body is a perfect purple and the yellow stripes are unreal...I also thought it was a great size to have full adult coloration...the pic is good but does not really capture it...a perfect specimen...

Can't wait to see the lights and the tank with some light as well!

Was just browsing the thread and read that youre running a dual Beckett skimmer, as am I, with the same pump I am. I have a PM bullet XL 4 with BLUELINE HD 100. I run a dry skim mate with five gallon waste container. How do you like the dual Beckett ? I get great foam production.
Do you end up cleaning the Becketts often? I find myself doing it once or twice every two weeks.
Do you have a pre filter on the Blue line?
Just some issues I run into with my Precision Marine skimmer. Can't do anything but praise this skimmer however.

Love the becketts...clean every 4-6 weeks...yes prefilter and the water is also run thru the fuge first...

I love the dual Becketts. I end up cleaning more often because any efficient prefilter I've used has restricted water intake too much to my liking. But they are fantastic. Especially the PM Beckett Bullet XL Models.

Who snapped up that very small gold flake on NYA? Was it you lol

yeah, they are great..lol, not me..happy with the tiny one I got from dd....

So, here is the box and rail system I fabricated...with some serious help from some friends....
the box holds the ballasts, cords, powerbar, and there is a quad gfci in the ceiling...
the box can slide either way so I can get into the tank....
I have a great program to run them and need to play with that and the Profilux touch screen this weekend...
I meant to clean the acrylic, sorry...this time of year the sun bounces of the lake and hits the tank...
