Awesome new pair and Interrupta! Cannot wait to see them all in the display, will look amazing

Thanks, very excited...my qts are really stocked with some incredible fish...and just wait a few weeks...Ken, you are not allowed to share that info, lol...

The Fish looks great, very excited to see all your QT fish in the DT.

You might have the best QT inhabitants of all time

The very reason why this is one of my favorite threads on RC, it just continues to get better. Congrats on the new acquisitions, thanks for sharing with the rest of us.

P.S.
It's not nice to keep secrets!:lmao:

back with the 2 baby Jocs...
really small, so, a big thanks to Michael at hey are in the 125 qt with the mated pair of African flamebacks....Michael did say the jocs did fight when together, in a confined space...I added many of my smaller pvc pieces into the tank...we shall see...
about an inch each.....

In a cup...lol...

oh yeah, and anybody that wants a large trigger that acts like a dog and has the best personality, ever!! please buy the Mexican Finescale trigger- that Michael has at nyaquatics...it is my fish, I raised him from a baby and I had him for a few years... he needs a big tank and will probably kill anything else living/or not, that is in the same tank but he is a really great fish and I'm pretty sure he recognized me, and wasn't pleased to see me...I asked Mike to post a better pic on his site in hopes of finding a home for this lil guy...thanks, tk

Beautiful bro! Nice cozy looking place too..

Ken, Here she is and doing well...she is catching a bit of static from one of the bandits and the baby goldflake but she is not too bothered by it...her body and fins all seem good to go...
sorry for the lousy pics....

the only easy way to tell the difference between the 2 bandits....
white between the eyes....

she came from pia...is smaller than the other....
complete band between the eyes....

from dd and was in kk office tank for a few months....
this fish was introduced a few weeks after the pia bandit but this guy took immed control...this fish is mush more active and aggressive than the smaller pia and also enjoys chasing her....the dd bandit was also slow to accept the goldflake but didn't care about the regal or interrupta...the pia bandit, who is 100% submissive to the dd bandit likes to harass the interrupta, which does not bother the interrupta but is interesting to observe...

cant stress the importance of all the pvc pieces and using diff sized pieces....helps give these tiny fish a great refuge to disappear into...the mated flamebacks weren't too happy to have the baby jocs dropped in and were a bit more aggressive than I anticipated...keeping the lights off has helped reduce the aggression substantially and the extra pvc has also proved to be a huge plus...

Awesome fish, this thread just keeps getting better and better!
Do you have all those small fish in your large qt tank?
If so it seems to be working well, any pros/cons when comparing a single large qt against many smaller dedicated tanks.

I just went through you whole thread ,,beautiful !,,and the word jealous comes to mind :lmao:..
Love all the fish ,and the cortez ,,definitely one you don't see many people with ...
Gives me something to strive for once our basement gets fully finished with heat

Thank you... I appreciate the kind words..

250 qt has the 2 bandits, baby regal, baby, goldflake, and the Interrupta.

125 qt has the 2 baby jocs and mated pair of flamebacks...the flamebacks did not like having the jocs added to the tank....so I added probably close to 40 pieces of 1.5 and 2 inch pvc...and have kept the lights mostly off- have used the moons and blues, no white...

so, we'll see what happens...I plan on moving fish in mid-june...

Thanks again,

TK
