These are phenomenal lamps! They are one of the odd ball lamps that do run better (ie put out more par) on an electronic ballast than what they do on a magnetic, but they still have good numbers on that magnetic. You lose about 15% of the par going from electronic to magnetic on them, but you gain just a little on the kelvin rating, running right at 15,000k. If you would compare them vs that lamp you are running now you would probably sacrifice about 5% in overall light output, but go from a bulb that is rated at about 9,000k to a lamp that is at 15,000k. They are as white as white can get!
