1500 gal. Reef from Start to Finish...

It is a great privilege to be a part of this project. The build quality, equipment list, and outcome is any reef keepers dream come true. I want to thank the client and Cris for making this happen.

Cris, thanks for building these tanks for me... This has brought so much excitement to my office. Thanks,

Edit---Looks like Brandon was the last one to use my computer on RC...

The Aquarium:

Aquatic Design Habitats Inc. manufactured the aquariums here in Colorado, which allowed us to see the process a few times during fabrication and oversee the transportation across town. .... The acrylic is 2” on the sides and 1 ½” on the top and bottom. The stands are 2” x 3” x ¼” thick powder coated tubular steel at a height of 34”...

Doahh- Why not? :p The 900 gallon is in the main entrance to building for everyone to see while the 1500 is in our client's office. It allows us to have the best of both worlds- A reef and a fairly aggressive Fish Only.

Couchpotato- I think this is the only picture I have right now of the 900 but we should have some more up in the next few days. It is a peninsula style (3 sided viewing), which explains the perspective of this shot:

wow im impressed. your a brave one to tackle a 5 foot tall acrylic tank!

What are the dimensions of both of the tanks? and do you have any more info/pics of the equipment?

The Aquarium:

Aquatic Design Habitats Inc. manufactured the aquariums here in Colorado, which allowed us to see the process a few times during fabrication and oversee the transportation across town. The larger of the aquariums measures 10’l x 5’h x 4’w (~1500g). The other is 10’l x 4’h x 3’w (~900g)....

If you don't mind me asking, would you like more info/pics on any particular piece of equipment? If you are looking for straight manufacturers info (flow rates, power usage, sizes, etc...) you may have to consult our equipment post and do some searches, otherwise we will be happy to try and answer any specifics. With such an involved system there are so many details and things we had to consider it makes it difficult to go in depth on everything.
