1500 Gallon 100% DIY reef Build

Man I hope you have a drain for your skimmate bucket because I would worry moving that thing from the ground to a drain to pour it in... not to mention that must have a lovely smell to it! :D

Hint: I've heard tossing kalkwasser in a skimmer cup knocks the smell down (pH/bacteria thing??) although I don't know how well that would apply to a 5g bucket o' fish crap :D

I'm with everybody else. You are certifiably nuts! And here I thought I was crazy when it came to this stuff! Very impressive! I like what you have done!

Wow thanks everybody for such "kind" words....I think. Haha not the first time I've been told that there may be something not right going on in my head.

BTW, did you buy mangroves that big? if you grew them out whats your secret? i have had very little luck growing them out.thanks!
I bought them as pods, no leaves or branches. I wish I had a secret to tell you though. I really don't do anything with them. Possibly the natural sunlight but they grew for the first year under cfl's. I think they do grow faster when you spray the leaves with freshwater but I hardly do that anymore.
You are totally off the rails, dude! How can I tell you're probably not married? ;)

What gives you that idea???!!

Few women would allow such an incursion into their home.

When my wife saw the thread, saw he had never built an acrylic tank she said "maybe you could build one of these" she added well maybe not the green house but that is more of a climate issue.

I think that I have not been as intrigued with a thread since the infamous KhoasInc thread of a few years ago. He was a madman too. What I wouldn't give to sit around that living room, drink a few beers and gaze upon that most excellent creation you have made. You sir are a genius! Will follow this one for sure!
