180 Gallon Azoo Tank

Well good news is the syringe pump came. Bad news I took forgranted it would come with at least one syringe. Now I have to hunt one down. Boo

My nitrates jumped up to 40-50ppm and phosphates are still at around 2ppm.

I added a huge silver scat last night to lay war on all my aiptasia.

Well I ordered some red silk coral, electric flame scallops, blue sponge, and have a huge sun coral on the way. The sun coral is supposed to be the size of a volleyball. :)

Wow softball sun coral!? hahaha you will have to feed it small pets....

Hey i was thinking about the No3 drop you posted above, from 50 to 25. I would be willing to attribute that drop more to the ATS than the vodka dosing. This is just IME, but when i was dosing vodka it took a good 10-12 weeks before i saw any change in No3...and even then it was a very slight change.

The sudden drop, and the size of the drop is more closely resembling a algae filter coming 'on line'.

Not softball VOLLEYBALL size :)

I do believe the ATS is coming online. More and more turf is showing up not just random spots anymore. I will be interested once my phosphates come down. Those are still at 2-3 ppm The one battle I have is Im trying to set up the turf in a high nutrient system which encourages the brown algae to keep growing quicker than the turf, but I think the turf is starting to win.

I just ordered the gorg system plu min s from Ottawa Inverts. I also picked up a 140 ml syringe for the syringe pump. Im hoping I can make it fit because the 60ml does not last long enough for me.

I am really starting to get some good turf algae going. I would have to say the ATS is working because I have not done a water change since November and the nitrates were only in the 30-40ppm range. Thats impressive considering all of the food that is going in each day. I just did a water change this past weekend and am shooting for another one this weekend. I hope to get some new pics tonight

Sweet Jason, you will really like the Fauna line. Just be careful you don't use to much. A little goes a very long way. Most people I know tend to way over feed the stuff. We are going to have to do something with your nitrates. Did you have a nitrate reactor going?

I have one that I have to get running again. The nitrates I think are mainly my lack of water changes. I really think if I get on a routine it will come down. Plus the turf scrubber is probably 50% filled now with turf algae
