Marc- You feel that confident with revive? I still do a long levamisol dip on every new coral and then a revive dip to follow.

Thanks for chiming in, Marc. I'll be reading up as much as I can tonight and tomorrow on this.

You're right on, Marc. My millis are unaffected.

I have TMPCC and Coral Revive. Sounds like I should ask a local vet for some levamisol?

What sucks is the AEFW are attacking some of my favorite frags :(

Thanks, Sang. You wouldn't happen to have any levamisol to through in that bag, too, would ya?

edit: hey, you changed your post on me! Not sure where I got the AEFW from. Could be anywhere, as I did not dip any of my 60+ frags prior to placing in the display. I've picked up frags from many local reefers.

NOTE TO SELF: Do not be a lazy reefer in the future :o

Levamisole is very harsh, from what I've read online.

You could use Fluke Tabs (they are somewhat cheap) and don't hurt the coral at all, from what I saw personally. However, I've heard ReVive just makes them peel right off, which is awesome, quick, and easy to dip once a week until you are sure they are gone.

Keep reading though. There's no reason to jump the gun on this one - better to be fully informed and have a good plan of attack.

LOL no. I put the interceptor in the mailbox after work. It should be picked up tomorrow and be there on Wed.

Thanks, Marc. great advice. I'll read up first and decide what's best for me.

Thanks again, bro. Just trying to lighten the mood for myself :) I'd gladly give up my BK for an ATB to get these pests out of my tank :D

what exactly is in revive?

I've read some of Marc's stuff, and he says it smells like Pine-sol :D

Some type of pine tree oil, I think. It looks and smells exactly like Pine Sol, but I've not had anyone try using Pine Sol on AEFW-infected corals to let me know if it that would work too. :D

I sent you the link to where I buy mine. If need be, I have extra. I buy 6 bottles at a time. :)

Wow, I actually have a FULL page of real, serious, reef-related posts, all on T-Bone's thread! Do I need to identify pests on a daily basis now? :p

But seriously, I appreciate the love and support :love1:

Got it! Thanks again, Mark!

I can feel everyone's hatred toward these pests ;)

marc, as your thread clearly demonstrates, there are some pretty adventurous people out there, so just give it some time

i try not to be too 'adventurous' :)

I've dipped every coral in my tank, SPS and chalice. That is well over 150+. I would say that I've lost less than 5% of the corals I've dipped. They are usually wild pieces that I would rather over dip than not.

The way I look at dipping corals is give me the biggest, baddest, most effective mean possible. Somewhere deep inside, I do not trust products that are sold in the aquarium trade to protect my tank. That's like trusting neighborhood watch and leaving the door unlocked.

Maybe I am just a little crazy here, but no thanks. A LFS here in town is a converted hobbyist and he has dipped thousands of corals in levamisole. I think people want to do too much and go to far.

LOL, I try to edit my posts when I catch them! But when both Marc and Mark are posting, simple minds get confused :p
