Ah! Okay the topic of amino acids got me thinking last night.

Mark, from my understanding is that you make your own blend of food. Seafood, yes? The reason you may not have noticed a change in color compared to when you were dosing aminos... is that you may be indirectly providing amino acids through the food.

In short, amino acids come from dietary.

I notice this myself. I was given a browned out turaki and now it's turning bright purple from my nightly feedings.

My point is amino acids may potentially provide addition aid in coral health--under the conditions that all your other factors are inline.

In the words of the great marko9 (on of my things that's been graciously ingrained in my head) Feed your corals!

I'm done.

exactly my feelings, Marc. It took me this long (from the time I found AEFW til today) to build up the mental courage to do this. :( I'm at the point where I'll be OK with whatever losses come out of this. At least I only have frags. It won't hurt as much.

my sps are getting a 2 hour levamisole bath right now...

Does this kill both red bugs and AEFW or just one of them?

I started reading this post and I could think is fish, fish poop, and feed the fish to make fish poop.

Look at John's and Tim's tanks. Both have over 30-40 fish. John has over 50+. Their tanks are what I consider the standard locally. I think there is something to nutrients; one way or another :)

Why did you go with a 2 hour bath? That is a loooooooong time. :(

I followed what Denadi did over on the % Loss from levamisole thread. I used a 300mg/gallon concentration. I'm thinking it's not as strong as what you use. I recall you saying that your solution has a slight yellow tint to it, but mine looked clear still.

How long do you dip?

30-40 minutes depending on who and where I get it from.

What is 1/5th of a teaspoon in 1.5 gallons of water come out to? All that ppm and .034764512 just confuses me. I am just a dumb reefer. :)
