2000g System overview

invincible569 coming from you I appreciate the compliment. I will check the lens though tnks for the heads up

Wolfmann81 Yes I intend to put cabinets on both the bottom and top. Tnks for following though my build I appreciate the comments

Spazz all good bro. How you been doing? Glad you keeping an eye on my tank/thread. Temps were fine. I'm swinging from 76-78.5 with no chiller or cistern yet. I think I will add it because the temps will grow when the cabinets go in. Just taking it one day at a time and just having fun on the journey.

things are good but very busy. im in memphis tn right now at st judes. well you know you can always open the cbnets up to cool the tank down if needed when you get them installed. i keep track of your tank because its one of the better looking tanks on reef central. once you get the cabnets done you might end up being nominated for tank of the month. its a tank well worth the nomination. i think the oonly problem is your picture taking skills dont show the true beauty of the tank. HA HA HA HA

WHats the ETA on you finishing the tank at the hospital?
I appreciate the Nomination.....its not there yet , but thanks still.
I will work on my camera skills just for you.
Say hello to your wife for me, I hope she gets to see you every once in awhile.

Your tank is really coming along nicely, I am sure that huge skimmer is helping to keep it clean!

Can't wait to see the finished cabinets, I need inspiration to finish mine .. "it's only been a year honey" ... where would reefers be without very patient significant others?

yellow coris , twin spot , venusta coris are the three wrasses. the twin spot is eating my snails but not the shrimp

.

ok took some more pics ( after cleaning the lens on the camera of finger prints) Hope you like.

Hey joe just out of curiosity since I'm not going back to the beginnings of this thread.

What's the thickness of your glass?

I'm planning a move and have looked a t a couple of properties around town (always keeping an eye open for that elusive house with the fish room) taking down my 240. But most likely will build a monster again since i miss the big tank syndrome.
My previous tanks included a 450 and a 350 as well as my current stock 240- I'm a lil leary of less than 3/4-1 inch for my glass.

BTW the tank looks great- I may need some sps safe haven while I build LOL

Anyways I will be using Exotic and most likely be a 4 foot wide tank the rest of the measures are just that ideas.

my tank is 1/2 " all around 3 side starfire and the bottom is 3/4" Karen/bob/exotic built my tank the same as theirs that's been up for close to 20 years with no problem. Great bracing i sleep fine at night with that.

Nice vid and pics. the walk-around was cool but man you have a lot of fish! I guess you had no choice but to get the Volcano. Your tank looks great butI am surprised you didn't go with a Neptune controller consiering the complexity of the system and all the management & alarm benefits of a full system controller.
