2009 ETRC Frag Swap

I'm probably not going to presell as much this year, only because I want to be able to bring a lot to the swap... If I start a thread it will likely be a week or two before the swap... :) I hope to frag a bunch of stuff this upcoming weekend so that it has plenty of time to heal and encrust the plugs...

Randy, I cut up the fliers and I'm taking them by the store tonight.

Sorry I didn't do it sooner. I kept forgetting to throw them in my bag to take them to work (where the paper slicer thingy is).

I have to go out west today though so I'll definitely drop them by. I'm wondering if we might need more as time goes by but if we do I'll just let you know.

Please do... I was surprised that We hadn't needed more before now... Now I know why... ;) No big deal... So long as we get the word out...

If someone wants to start posting in Area forums, that would be great too...

I'm sorry Randy. I accidentally got them buried in a box when I brought the boxes home, which led to me forgetting them. Don't worry...the traffic through the store seems to be pretty decent on the weekends. I tell people about the club all the time.

So hopefully we'll get the word out and I will definitely take them by the store today.

Aquatic Marine is going to sponsor as well...

I'm going to bring a flyer by once Trent gets back in town, unless someone else can drop one off there sooner???

Randy he comes into the Coral Reef every weekend. If you want to give me one I can always give it to him when I see him.

Kim~ Aquatic Marine is off of Clinton Hwy... Kinda near Lowes and whatnot...

Melly~ I'll drop one off at CR when I come by tomorrow... :D

Need any more hand bills???

Drs. Foster and Smith/ Live Aquaria are now sponsors...

Randy you are the king of getting sponsors.

You're going to make this swap go really well!

We don't need more handbills yet but there aren't a ton left. We could take some more.

I need to remind everyone to keep handing them out. Maybe I'll stuff the bags with them ahead of time.

Any Volunteers???

Is that still true about the no table fee?

Whoever is doing table reservations, I'd just as soon know now and put their username in the post.

I believe we decided to continue to not charge for a table until we get our attendance up... I'm still worried about having enough people there selling... Though I know everyone that brought stuff last year was very happy at the end of the day... ;)

If no one volunteers in the next couple of days, just use me... We need to get the word out as we're only a month away...

I'll just volunteer myself for that to. Makes sense since I'm posting and you've done enough already. I'll go post 'em now.

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the lead on this... I just posted in the CRC forum since they are on another site, and I wasn't sure if you were a member or not...

Err, what is CRC short for? I posted to the Chattanooga forum, I thought that was it. I have no idea what NARC stands for, other than a counter-drug task force... Northern Alabama? eh?

I posted to all of the other ones...

There are no Atlanta/Northern GA groups I should post to?

The CRC is the Chattanooga forum... They are over on R2R... NARC stands for Northern Alabama... Its over in the Alabama Reefers Forum...

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=167

I know Brandon (bkv1997) from the CRC and Gary (gflat) from NARC will each want a table... Brandon just told me last night, and Gary posted about a month ago... lol He'll likely reconfirm once we get the flyer posted up in his forum...

Oh, and if any of you guys frequent other forums and know of any other local people, don't hesitate to give them a heads up as well...

I saw Mike (Kafudafish) at the gym yesterday morning and he said hes going to come... :)

Yeah, you can try the Alabama Reefers forum, too. Birmingham has one set up for Jun 6th, so I don't know what kind of response you'd get, but it never hurts to try. There are a number of clubs in Alabama, but only one forum on RC. R2R has a few individuals (CARC-Central Al, NARC-North Al, MRC-Montgomery Reef Club (we're new:))). Don;t forget about the Anderson, SC. area. I think I've seen some activity from that area in different forums, so it may be worth a try. Virginia isn't too far out, either. I usually post it any place within about 5 hours. You never know when someone will be in town for whatever reason. One person doesn't sound like much, but in small swaps, it can make a difference to someone.

Spamming complete.

Random interesting statistic: after the Florida reef clubs, MTRC and ETRC are the most used forums in the SouthEast - not bad for a land-locked state!
