Crossbow vs compound/traditional bowhunting is a VERY touchy subject for a lot of people. I'm sure we can keep it civil here, but those type of threads on hunting and firearm forums usually end up getting locked.

Cully, nice racks. I really need to get my trail cam out. Maybe I'll run out to the property before work sometime this week.

Does anybody know if they got the issue with the super sportsman license fixed?

the boy passed hunter safety with flying colors. opening day was a blast. he shot his first goose ever, and made a triple later on. i hope it cools down. i tried taking the dogs out for pheasants. the weather was so hot.

Walked my new property again tonight. Gonna do some clean up this weekend and put up the trail cam. Have to actually dig my bow out too. Wasn't even gonna hunt this year until I got the call about this land. Getting excited now. Lots of trails, signs and potential.

I'm staying out of the woods. Don't want anything to know I'm there. Trying to pattern that 9 in the first pic. If I can't get him opening day, I'm gonna wait a few weeks. Got a few new spots this year too. Largest one is 19 acres. Sometimes the small plots hold some slammers. That 8 & 10 are on a 15 acre plot that has yielded an 8, 9, and a couple of 6s over the past few years. There's also a mainframe 10 with G2 kickers that's been sighted by the owners. Just fun being out where there's good deer.

How time flys,I cant believe the season is almost here again.Man, if I could just catch a break Id get my trailcam up ,itching to know whats back there this year.

One week to start of bow. Thought I'd bring this back to front page. Gonna take down my camera tomorrow and hang a couple stands. After that I'm out of the woods until the first. Thank god I'm working evenings that day.

Put in a ground blind yesterday but won't hunt it till later in October. My stands are in place. Off the first, going rain or shine....most likely gonna be rain I bet.
