210g Things with Stings tank.

Thank you. We've waited a long time for this and have 13 grow out/training tanks going. Some of the fish that were destined for the 65 are still growing out.

This is the red fin male. He has a mate but she is way to small to go into the 65. I'm starting to become suspicious that the females don't reach near the size of males. She's hanging out with a Fu Manchu and a coral croacher in a 25 gallen.

But this is him.

how do you sex red fins? im getting 2 and would like to get a pair. alos whats the dems of the 65?

ok so im curious, why take out the fireplace(?) and whatd you replace it with. any updates and so your going to be putting all the fish in the 65 and whatever tanks into the 210 and have 1 massive and awesome things with stings tank?

That is one awesome collection of fish you have there. Any problems with aggression so far? The Fuzzy's are to die for. I've been toying with the idea of a Lion/Scorpionfish tank for some time now but i've yet to muster up the cahoneys to actually take the plunge.

I just love your fuzzies! I've always been a fan of the fuzzy dwarf lionfish. Someday...

Your build looks like it's going well so far. I'm looking forward to more pics!

The female is a different shape. When you see them side-by-side, you'll recognize it if you look for it. Her dorsal fins are stubby and not as incised as his.

Here she is....

Actually, I think it's a 60g. I called it a 65 for so long I now forget which is correct. It's something like 48l x 16w x 16 tall... whatever a standard 60 or 65 would be :-)

The fireplace was big and white and ugly. In the pics it doesn't look to bad, but it was made cheaply with fiberglass and cheap white tiles. We are going to retexture the wall tomorrow and work on getting a nice stained wood fireplace up there.

All the fish in this size group will into the 210g. There's also a 310g in wall tank being planned for my larger lions and scorps. The 65 gallon will then house some smaller scorps. There's still going to be multiple tanks, just not so many.

When I first introduced the female fuzzy and the barberi, there was some chasing the first couple of days. We were about to take out the male to put him in another tank for awhile, when it stopped. I'm sure that could be a little more avoided if we put the male in last. Besides that, there is zero aggression.

It really is an interesting collection. If you wanna feel loved by your fish, get lions and scorps. They greet you when they see you like your dog at the door when you come home.

oh ok i see the difference thanks, maybe when i get mine i can sex them. perhaps are you and namxas related? lol. i really need a job...

hey seahorse, does your red-fin eat prepared foods? I just got one from DD, and wanted to know if i could train him if possible. thanks!

Half the fish have been moved the the new house.... and are sitting in my front livingroom like an LFS.

I have to wait for our plantation shutters to be installed before finishing the stand to make sure I don't have to make any more adjustments it. My stand is perfect..... the people who installed the patio door next to it must not have owned a level!

hey, just added my redfin waspfish to my tank, is it normal for him to bury himself in sand halfway? (PS, it was so easy to convert him to frozen)

I really love your taste in fish, will make for a very unique tank . Will definitely be following this build.
