looks like my room!

Dam. Need to take a forced break.... I'm bleeding on everything.

Decided to make a template instead of carrying the plywood in, then out, then back in.

The template idea worked well. The top is on. Next is sanding, making sure the top is level and moulding.... then the stain.

I've only ever stained small things. I have no idea if I'm any good at it or no. I bet ya I suck. I better practice on some of the scrap pieces.

I really needed someone here a few minutes ago for a high five.

high five yourself, i do it all the time when im left hanging lol. its not so bad if you do it in private.

i also like the visual look of #2 but its nice having space so you can completely crawl into.

How heavy will the tank be? It's going to be 84.5L x 24"w x 24H with 3/4" acrylic panels.
i thought it was going to be a standard 210? so its going to be 7 feet long then? gallons?

The calculators say it's 210.7 gallons.

Tank ordered tonight. Completion date Oct 22nd. Internal overflow 18"L x 12"D to fit into the right back corner.

3/4" acrylic.

The edges on the left side will be rounded. The right will be square to fit better against the wall. Hand polished to prevent crazing.

The guy who is making it said it will be 260lbs.

Sump will be outside in an enclosure.

Researching skimmers and pumps now. Have a rough draft of the plumbing done. Final decision will be Monday because we have provide the schematics for the holes.

I'm really not looking forward to staining.

Awesome project! I'm getting a 225g acrylic, but mine won't be full of stings lol. I don't know if putting my leaf fish in with the rest would be a good idea. He doesn't seem to want to eat anything too big so I don't think it'll try to eat any of my inhabitants, but I'm not 100% sure. Any advice on that? I imagine moving all those tanks was HEAVY! I don't know how I'm goin to move my 65 to make room for the 225. Can't wait to see your finished work!

I really dig the picture with all the tanks in the middle of your room. Awesome build...

It's gets better.... there's now a large animated ghoul for Halloween sitting on top of all those buckets. My life is a living disorganized hell.

A leaf fish has a relatively small mouth for a scorp. That can't eat too many fish unless they are pretty small. The only problem is, they are very hard to convert to frozen foods. Depending on what other fish you have in there, it might be hard getting live food down to him.
